Sumi-e Ink paints the 2023 China Panda in the manner of an ink-wash scroll. The bare silver stands in for paper: soft mountains rise through drifting mist, three birds pass in the distance and the ink deepens towards the rim, while a single vermilion seal, 墨熊, “ink bear”, signs the composition.
Made on a 30 g coin of .999 fine silver, Ø 40 mm, with a face value of 10 yuan, each piece is UV-printed and finished by hand. An edition of 50 numbered pieces, with a bilingual certificate of authenticity. Never reissued.
